Sickness in the forecast

So a few days ago I was informed that my cousin came down with a virus called Roseola. The kids were all playing together so being that it's very highly contagious, I'm pretty sure the girls are going to get it. The interwebz say that usually a high fever spikes, goes away and then a rash follows. Well today Elika had random bumps/spots/zit looking things on her legs. One at first, then an hour later 3 more popped up on her legs and booty. greeeaat.

But I'm confused.. she never got a fever? Unless maybe she got a very mild case, is that even possible? Maybe these bumps are coincidence, maybe they're just bug bites. She seems to be acting fine, her normally cheery but cranky when she doesn't get her way self.

My biggest concern is Selah getting it. She's only 2.5 months old and not sure her little body should handle a sickness like that quite yet. I don't even have Motrin in my house. Suppose I should go get some.

Joel says that they wont get it because they're immune systems were in overdrive on the way up since they were getting over a cold. I hope he's right. I mean why wouldn't he be, he's a doctor (not, just thinks he knows everything). I love him still.

J.E.E.S?

Joel.Erika.Elika.Selah<-- that's us. (I'm Erika, obvs..)

I didn't realize that our initals spell out my most used word.

Anyway, I figured I should start writing about our family. I tend to forget to write things down about the girls, and our lives in general... milestones and such. The times I have remembered to write things down are irrelevant because I end up losing the book/journal I wrote them in. smh.

It's currently 11:57pm. Elika has been asleep for probably about 3 hours now, Selah for at least 2, Joel for 2... and here I am wasting my opportunity. I'll complain and complain tomorrow about how tired I am, then I'll use it as an excuse for not getting my to-do list done.

If you read this, thank you. I hope you enjoy bouts of randomness. I'll basically be using this blog for journaling, and family updates. I hope I stick to it.
