I've been working all day so I figured I'd take a break and update my blog. Yes I'm bored. I've been sitting at my desk basically since I woke up working. I've gotten up to take care of the kids as needed of course. blah...
So this week:
Thursday I met a friend that I've known on the internet for some time now. She was visiting family in AZ and we jumped at the opportunity of being in the same state so we met up. Lori is seriously cool. Seriously. We had so much fun just chatting, laughing, watching our girls play together. It was nice to have someone around with a kid that is relatively close in age to mine. Elika and C were bff's as soon as they met.
I'm not a great writer, she is an amazing writer though and happened to blog about the same thing, so you can read about that on her 365 project blog.
What else?
Work work work. I've been working so much lately. Between my photo shoots, proofing sessions, editing, working at my dad's company Vx3 doing some data entry and internet sales. I dont' think I've been this busy in such a long time. It's nice, but exhausting.
Elika's vocabulary is getting better and better. I was a little worried about it before but it turns out I just suck at teaching her things. It's my fault. I've really dedicated a lot of time lately to actually TEACHING her words and showing her things, making an effort to really demonstrate communication and she's so smart. She's picked up so many things in the last few days. It's like all the info was in her little brain just waiting to be released.
She's gotten REALLLLY good at telling me no. :|
Selah is happy as ever, like always. She's almost 4 months old. She doesn't tell me no, yet.
I'm starting a workout boot camp tomorrow! Read about that here and here on my weight-loss blog, I don't feel like typing it out again.

What's new?
I am such a bad blogger. Like seriously can I stick to one freakin' thing in my life? Well that's obviously an exaggeration, of course I can stick to something. You'd think I had limited computer/internet time. I don't. I do have a few kids though. Speaking of the two:
Selah is 3.5 months old already! YEA! Seriously! I just can't believe it. You know the saying "Time Flies"? Well if you have kids you do because as soon as you pop the baby human out of your body the phrase is said by just about every single person that comes in contact with you. It's like people need to remind me how fast my kids are going to grow up before my eyes at every chance they get... It's true though. Time really does fly. Where did it go? I look back trying to remember what life was like before May 23rd, when it was just the 3 of us. I remember those times... It was a time where I knew Elika's full day schedule. I could count on her to sleep 10-11 hours at night. I knew exactly how many diapers I'd go through before needing to wash (clothe diapers). Now, though it's slowing starting to level out, we've added a new member to the mix and everything was completely up in the air. Yea one time I ran out of Selah's size diapers. Luckily someone had given us a few disposables so I had a chance to wash a quick load. These days, I can somewhat count on what time of night Selah will wake up, when she'll eat etc. She's so happy too. She giggles and SQUEES!! super loud. I don't think Elika ever squee'd that loud. It's so cute, and she usually only does it for me.
Elika:
hmmmmm... She is almost 2. In 2 months. I'm not sure she'll have a "terrible" two phase. She's pretty calm and laid back. She does get quite at At-TI-TUDE sometimes though. *sigh* Gotta love her. Lets see... Oh! Her first word was "da-da". She is a PRO at saying Dayee (daddy). Even calls me dayee most of the time. Her second word was "share", third "cheese" since she loved grilled cheese sandwiches so much. All this time with her vocabulary expanding, my almost 2 year old had still not said "mommy" and that made me sad. What'd I ever do to deserve this? I've dedicated nearly 24 hours a day for almost 2 years and she can't even have the decency to call me mommy and melt my heart? Rude. Well a few nights ago, I was desperate. "Saaayy MOMMY!! say mommy.... Elika.. Elika!! say MOMMY!! PLEASE?! say mommy.. mommy..momma.mama.mommy.mom.mom.mama." Sort of like this:
FINALLY she mutters out "maymay".. At first I thought she probably was just muttering out some random gibberish but I took it and jumped for joy, literally, clapped my hands, gave her a giant smooch, and said hesitantly "say mommy?".... and she said "mommay".
And there you have it. My big girl finally said it.
Also, regarding the last post. Neither of the girls ended up getting Roseola. Elika got a very mild fever for like an hour one day. Coincidentally she also got a few bug bites. At first I thought it was the beginning of the rash, but they appeared before the fever, which in Roseola I've read the rash/bumps come after a very high fever. Well neither happened. Selah never got anything either. Thank the Lord.
